Why this work matters
Scientific communication often breaks down under operational complexity, data density, and brand constraints. As AI tools accelerate production, more content is created faster—but not always correctly.
Important relationships between data, context, and meaning can get lost—so even accurate information becomes harder to interpret and apply.
My role is to structure information so it holds together across slides, documents, visuals, and digital formats—so what is presented is not just polished, but accurate, usable, and clear.

I do not start with style
I begin by understanding the science, the audience, and what the material needs to do.

Constraints shape the solution
Brand systems, technical accuracy, data density, and platform requirements are not obstacles. They help define the design.

Design guides understanding
I use hierarchy, pacing, layout, labeling, and visual relationships to help people see what matters first and what comes next.

Connection is controlled
Emotion, texture, and originality matter, but they should support clarity, not compete with it.
A background shaped by science and design
My perspective comes from working close to scientific material and understanding how easily meaning can get lost between expertise and communication. I bring scientific literacy, visual judgment, and hands-on design execution together in one process.
That means I can move between the underlying logic of the content and the practical realities of making it usable. A mechanism graphic, a presentation, a technical document, or a campaign visual may look different on the surface, but the underlying challenge is often the same: organize complexity without losing meaning.

Why human judgment is still important

AI can accelerate production, generate variations, and help teams move faster. I use those tools too, but speed does not replace structure. In scientific communication, the difference between something that looks finished and something that actually works is often found in the details: hierarchy, emphasis, sequence, spacing, labeling, and accuracy.
That is where human judgment matters. I use AI as a tool for exploration and iteration, not as a substitute for thinking. The goal is not just output. The goal is communication that holds up under scrutiny and still feels clear to the people who need to use it.
A foundation in art, applied to science

In addition to client work, I maintain an active art practice grounded in observation, material, and form. That work sharpens how I see structural relationships and nuance—skills that directly shape how I approach scientific communication.
