Understanding proteins through visual storytelling

Problem:
Proteins are often shown as static diagrams or dense structural models, making them difficult to engage with outside specialized contexts.

Approach:
Proteinber became a daily exploration combining sketching, artistic reference, and molecular biology for the 31 days in October, Proteinber = protein + October.
Each piece connects structure to meaning, extending how the material can be experienced.

The project blended hand-drawn sketches, digital design, and AI-assisted generation to explore how accuracy and creativity can coexist without compromising scientific meaning.

Outcome:
The result is a compiled visual book that makes protein science more approachable, memorable, and emotionally engaging. The work demonstrates how complex biological content can be shaped into experiences that invite curiosity while maintaining scientific integrity.
